Lunch is the perfect opportunity to get out and walk around New York City with my coworkers—even we just pick up food within a 3 block radius to bring back to our desks so we can continue finding random stuff on the Internet working. So every day, I’ll be sharing what I had for lunch along with links to my daily lunch break distractions.

The Lunch:

Tomato, basil & mozzarella sandwich with roasted butternut squash soup

“American Horror Story”s macabre musical (via YouTube / Philly.com)
I’ve been hesitant to get into AHS season 2 because I was, for some reason, quite attached to the Harmon family of last season. But this ridiculousness from last night’s episode might make me change my mind.

Patti Page remembered by George Jones, Charlie Daniels (via CBS News)
“Tennessee Waltz” singer Patti Page passed away at age 85 on New Year’s Day. She was the top-selling female singer of the 1950s and sold over 100 million records.

Meet Prince Charming for Brunch at the New York Palace Hotel (via The Daily Meal)
In honor of the upcoming Broadway debut of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Cinderella,” the New York Palace Hotel is hosting a series of Cinderella brunches on Saturday and Sunday afternoons with adorable royal-themed foods and drinks. Prince Charming will attend these brunches for photo ops and glass slipper fittings. Seriously. I might go just for the Princess Bellini Martini.

Starbucks introduces $1 reusable cup to cut down on waste (via Eatocracy)
Although the company already offered reusable tumblers with a 10-cent discount, it hopes that the new lower price of this cup will encourage more customers to bring them in and cut down on the 4 billion paper Starbucks cups that are thrown away each year. That’s a whole lotta lattes, guys.
